From the perspective of a child of New Immigrants, I begin with the distance I feel from my mother and ask, “How does a woman become a mother?” By documenting the daily lives of New Immigrant mothers and their daughters in Taiwan, the film explores diverse forms of motherhood and the evolving dynamics between them. It seeks to challenge fixed notions of “motherhood” and return to the individual, revealing how we are shaped through understanding and dialogue.
